Sheffield-based potter Ding Junhui is through to the last 16 of the International Open after beating James Wattana six frames to three.

The Chinese cueman, who practices at the Star Snooker Academy, today faces Matthew Stevens in the next round of the tournament, which is taking place in Chengdu, China. Ding is chasing his third successive ranking event victory, having triumphed in the Shanghai Masters and Indian Open.
