ADAM Duffy is determined to qualify for the 2013 World Championships.
The Sheffield cueman, ranked 54 in the world, dreams of competing in front of a full house at The Crucible.
Avid Sheffield Wednesday fan Duffy said: “It [qualifying for the World Championships] would be like the Owls getting to Wembley.
“I asked Judd Trump, a good friend of mine, what it’s like to play there and he described it as unbelievable which makes me want it more.”
Duffy, who turned professional in 2011, got a taste of the big-time when he met reigning world champion Ronnie O’Sullivan in a televised tournament in Germany last year.
“It happened so quickly that I didn’t quite take it all in until I got home,” said the 23-year-old. “I lost 4-0 but it was a good experience. I played him just 10 minutes after my last match had ended!”
