DING Junhui produced a stunning comeback to keep his Bank of Beijing China Open title hopes alive yesterday.

The Sheffield-based Chinese cueman fought back from 4-0 down to clinch a 5-4 first round victory over qualifier Ben Woollaston in the Far East. Leicester’s Woollaston led with breaks of 38, 61, 49 and 55, but former UK and Masters champion Ding rallied with runs of 64, 39, 59 and 111 to win five frames in a row.
