Ryan at home for Euro title tilt

SHEFFIELD’S Ryan Rhodes will meet Sergey Rabchenko for the vacant European light-middleweight title at Ponds Forge, on March 24.

Rhodes is happy to secure home advantage and aims to deliver a ‘stunning performance’ to win back his old crown. Belarussian Rabchenko, aged 25, is unbeaten in 19 fights, with 14 KOs.

Rhodes, 35, said: “He’s tough, he can really punch but he’s never fought anyone like me.” The 12-round televised battle is an expected sell out - testament to Rhodes’ pulling power and strong, supporting bill.
