Rotherham Titans have received a major boost as they prepare for their most important match so far in the current Championship campaign, against London Welsh at the Kassam Stadium in Oxford on Sunday.
Rotherham, who are top of the league and lead London Welsh by three points, expect to include Scottish back Garry Law in their squad for the first time this season.
The Scotsman has not played in the first team since injuring a thigh in a pre-season game in August and during the last five months has been having extensive treatment on an injury which never seemed to be improving.
However, finally Law, who can play fly half, centre or full back, is fit to play again and should be in the squad for the London Welsh clash and can expect to be used in the second half as one of the replacements.
A talented all-round player and excellent goal kicker, Law, in his third season at Clifton Lane, made a big impact in the 2011-2012 season by scoring more than 200 points, finishing as the Championship’s top points’ scorer.
Titans coach Lee Blackett said: “We go as massive underdogs.
“They are the only side to beat us at home this season.
“ We need to be right at the top of our game if we are to win. The players are keen to put right what we didn’t do well against Moseley.” London Welsh will be looking to former Rotherham forward Carl Kirwan, to inspire them.
