ROTHERHAM Titans must overcome strong opposition and a partisan crowd at Bedford Blues on Boxing Day.

Whilst most Championship clubs will have enjoyed a full Christmas Dinner having played this weekend, the Blues opted for a Boxing Day clash against the Titans and a bumper crowd is expected. One stand has already sold out.

Looking ahead to the fixture, Blues Director Mike Rayer said: “The lads are looking forward to running out in front of a packed house. “We know we are in for a physical battle but preparation couldn’t have gone better”

n A RU development initiative piloted at Hallamshire RFC is winning praise from newcomers to the code who have been involved in the first tranche of sessions run at the club HQ at King Edwards School, Crosspool.

The O2 Touch programme has been trialled at 15 centres nationwide, with Hallamshire RFC, Scarborough RFC and Chester RFC running sessions in the North to help gather intelligence ahead of the launch of a wider programme in 2013.
