Titans go from Maggs to riches

The biggest signing in Rotherham's history ... that's how Titans coach Craig West describes the recruitment of Kevin Maggs, the former Ireland, Bath and Bristol centre who rejoined the Clifton Lane club earlier this week.

"Kevin had a massive influence last season when he was here and that will be just the same from now until the end of this season," West said. "I am sure he will be able to help us to achieve our ambition of finishing in the top eight.

Maggs, who will play once he's match fit, will be advising West in Birmingham tomorrow when Rotherham take on Moseley, eighth in the Championship.

Maggs has experience of playing in 70 Tests for Ireland, including two World Cups in 1999 and 2003, and West will be able to exploit his expertise and knowledge in games and also in post-match analysis.

The Rotherham team at Moseley shows minor changes to the side which beat Cornish Pirates impressively last Saturday.

Canadian flanker, Adam Kleeberger, who has recovered from an ankle injury, takes the place of Tinus du Plessis, Rotherham's outstanding forward. The Namibian is away for a month as his country tries to qualify for the 2011 World Cup in New Zealand.

In the back line, winger Peter Swatkins returns as West compensates for the absence of loan man Luther Burrell.
