SHEFFIELD Tigers chalked up their first win in a month, in a high-scoring National League 2 North affair against Herefordshire side Luctonians.
They triumphed 35-20, their first victory since thrashing Stockport on February 2.
Eagdles Nigel Dakin said it was a “very good performance. The team showed the character of earlier in the season to weather a comeback by the opposition but then kick on to win the match. The front-row played well with prop Mark Chivers having a good game at tighthead prop.”
Man of the match was Frank Wragg, who recorded two 30 metre tries.
Team: Chivers, White (Whitworth 77), Ross (O’Donnell 74), Joel, Wragg, Walker (Hayter 52), Argyle, Pearson, Bird (Drage 52), Parker, Broadley R (Tahraoui 29), Buchanan, Broadley J, Tharme-Loose, Swatkins
Sheffield beat Old Crossleyans 18-12, to ensure their fourth straight win.
