SHEFFIELD Tigers claimed their eighth consecutive win in National Two North after a battling performance at Luctonians.
Tigers faced an uphill task on Saturday after tries from Alex Rumsey, No 8 Paul Hulland and a brace from winger Drew Cheshire put Lucs 24-5 ahead after half an hour.
But Tigers gradually established a foothold in the contest and reduced the deficit to five points a minute after the re-start when Callum Mackenzie forced his way over.
Both sides exchanged penalties before centre Jamie Broadley, Tigers leading try-scorer, touched down as they chalked up a 32-27 win to sentence Luctonians to their first home defeat of the season.
In North East One, Sheffield were held 18-18 with Old Crossleyans after a last-minute try from Leigh Thomas denied them maximum points.
