SHEFFIELD Tigers go searching for their 10th win of the season on Saturday.

The National League 2 North’s fifth-placed team visit Leicester Lions who are two places below them.

Lions have lost their last three games and were hammered last Saturday at Darlington. They want to reverse the trend - but Tigers have their own agenda having been narrowly beaten by league leaders Stourbridge last weekend.

Tigers supporters were particularly pleased with their side’s tackling last weekend, against some robust forwards, and want that to continue this weekend.

Meanwhile, first plays second in North East One on Saturday - unbeaten Wheatley Hills hosting Beverley. The East Yorksire team have only lost one out of 11 - and that game was by just three points, so a battle royale is in the offing.

Sheffield, who have lost just once in their last 10 and are in third spot, welcome Malton and Norton. Sheffield hope a number of injuries will have cleared up.

In Yorkshire Div One, Wath Upon Dearne continue their attempts to climb into the top three by taking on Scarborough, while struggling Barnsley host Old Brodleians.

On form Doncaster Phoenix hope to strengthen their position as top of the pile in Div two by beating fifth-placed Sheffield Medicals.

Rotherham Phoenix, Thornesians, Mosborough and Sheffield Oaks all have home games.

Mosborough RUFC are asking for local community support in their bid to earn an exclusive Rugby gala at their club next April.

It will be hosted by former England stars Will Greenwood and Austin Healey with expert coaching, team games and some special guests. There will be an evening dinner, Q&A and charity auction.
