Titans secured a 19-11 victory over Nottingham, to maintain their push for a top-end finish to the Championship.
A game, in which defences had to work continually throughout, saw the home side control most of the contest. Victory preserved an unbeaten home record and reinforced their credibility as promotion contenders. Two Garry Law penalties for the host’s were matched by Kieran Hallett and James Arlidge’s efforts for the Green and Whites. The second period was more open and Titans went into a 12-6 lead following two more penalties from Law.
On the hour, Titans player-maker Law found Adrian Griffiths. The giant lock off-loaded to Dave McCall who touched down. Law converted to extend Titans advantage to 19-6.
On a rare foray into Titans 22, Notts Alex Shaw drove over to reduce the arrears to 8 points.
