Rotherham Titans, one point clear at the top of the Championship after successive wins in the opening games of the new season, have made four changes to the starting line-up for tomorrow’s league game at Moseley in Birmingham.

In the pack, coach Lee Blackett has brought in three forwards who have not played from the kick-off in previous matches.

Flanker Alex Rieder has recovered from a toe injury and takes the place of Ed Williamson who is rested, and the number seven shirt at Moseley will be worn by flanker Jack Preece, the England Sevens player, preferred to Ali Birch.

In the second row, Ben Thomas comes in for Barney Maddison;the only change in the Rotherham three quarters is the selection of Welsh centre Jack Roberts in place of Joel Gill.

“We are expecting a backlash from Moseley,” said Blackett. “It is their first home game of the season and we beat them comfortably in our first match. Their coach Kevin Maggs will be determined to prove a point against us. Moseley earned a good draw last weekend down in Plymouth. At one stage they were losing 31-3 and came back to make it 34-34 so they are a handy side.”
