Rotherham Titans head coach Mark Jones says his side will have their hands full in their crunch relegation clash with bottom club Moseley this weekend.
The Titans are seven points above Moseley as they look to end their six game losing streak in the Championship against a side who have beaten them twice so far this term.
“Moseley are in front of us in the head-to-head clashes so far,” Jones said.
“This is the fourth meeting and they are a handful.
“Moseley are well-coach by Kevin Mags who used his international experience with Ireland to produce a good team.
“They have two dangerous players in particular. Fly half Glyn Hughes and number eight Chris Brightwell.
“It’s going to be a tough day for us, but we go there after a much-improved performance by our forwards against Bristol.
“A win at Moseley will give is a real life which we need. Once the dry pitches are here I’m sure you will see Rotherham at our best.
“What we have to do tomorrow is to be streetwise in the management of the game.”
Jones is set to make a handful of changes to the side that fought competitively against table-topping Bristol. Winger Michael Keating should return to the starting XV.
Another winger Jack Hayes is awaiting the outcome of an RFU disciplinary hearing following a late tackle against Bristol which saw him yellow carded at the time.
Though they have struggled to make attacks count, the Titans must take their chances at Moseley, a side that have conceded 452 points, the highest by any club in the competition.
Rotherham have scored only 28 tries in 15 Championship games, a poor return which explains their present difficulties and lowly league position. Injuries to major players have also played a part.
The biggest threat is likely to come from Moseley fly half Hughes who is the division’s third highest points scorer with 116 from 24 conversions, 21 penalties and a try.
