Rotherham Titans face their hardest test so far tomorrow when they host league leaders Bedford.

Titans rested most of the first team for the British and Irish Cup tie against Leeds but coach will probably field two or three of the players who impressed against Leeds against Barrow.

Although Rotherham lost 17-3, forwards Carl Kirwan and Barnie Maddison stood out as did Tongan Talite Vaioleti before he was inujured. Winger Elliott Brierley also looked sharp.

Eighth in the table Rotherham will face several former old boys in Bedford’s squad: forwards Neil Cochrane, Sam Walsh and Phil Boulton and in the back line, Brendan Burke and Jamie Lennard.

Bedford have scored more than 100 points in their first three league matches,40 of them by Lennard,so expect him to contribute effectively tomorrow.
