Pair to bolster promotion push

ROTHERHAM Titans have signed two scrum halves on a month’s trial.

Dale Farnham, 25, has been on Plymouth’s books, with few playing opportunities in the first team, but the South African now has the chance to impress Titans’ coach Andre Bester. Bester has also agreed to assess the potential of Danny Matthews who arrives following the recommendation of two Rotherham players, Barney Maddison and Ben Hooper, who played with Matthews at Leeds Metropolitan University.

With scrum half Matt Rhodes now concentrating on his exam finals at Hallam University, Bester needs cover for the regular number nine Jimmy Williams as the promotion play-offs beckon.
