Sheffield Tigers demolished fellow mid-table side Beverley 43-7 at Dore Moor in National Three North.
Winger Henry Packard was first over for Tigers, his try on five minutes being expertly converted by Tom Outram.
They doubled their lead five minutes later when Outram was once again on hand to convert a penalty try to make it 14-0. Tigers had really hit their stride now and Packard crashed over for his second on 18 minutes to make it 19-0.
Liam Wallace made it 33-0 with two tries before the break and although Beverley scored shortly after the restart tries from Ed Simmons and Steve Destiounis completed the scoring for Tigers.
Dinnington and Sheffield are first and second in North One East – and they have Doncaster rivals Wheatley Hills to thank.
Wheatley knocked leaders Pocklington off the top with a 21-11 win at York Road, while Dinnington and Sheffield both scored bonus winning victories.
Dinnington ran in eight tries on their way to a 54-21 home win over Northern.
Captain Matt Starr led by example with two tries, and fly-half Johnny West also scored as well as landing seven of the eight conversions.
Sheffield’s 49-20 win at Horden put them one point clear of Pocklington thanks to tries by Johnny France 2, Alex Fawdry, Robert Conville, Joe McHale, Johnny France Andy Hobson and Andy Morton.
Wath on Dearne moved up to third place , thanks to a four-try bonus in their 22-3 home win over Halifax rivals Heath. Brett Small scored two of the tries.
Barnsley maintained their lead in Yorkshire Two with a 39-32 win over Old Rishworthians at Halifax. Ashley Salkeld scored two of Barnsley’s five tries.
Mosborough beat Sheffield Oaks 57-14 in Yorkshire Four, while Sheffield Medicals went down 24-9 at home against Goole in Yorkshire Two.
