Lions held

A LAST-minute try followed by a touchline conversion denied the British and Irish Lions victory in their 13-13 draw with the Emerging Springboks at Cape Town last night.

The Lions, who led 10-0 after Keith Earls' converted try and a penalty from Ronan O'Gara, then opened a 13-6 lead with a James Hook penalty.

However, the last minute in Danwel Demas went over in the corner and fly-half Willem de Waal landed a brilliant conversion in difficult conditions.
