DONCASTER Knights scrum-half Chris Hallam has put pen to paper on a one-year extension to his contract, having spent the majority of the 2010-11 Championship season as first choice for the South Yorkshire side.
Hallam, who is currently recovering from a shoulder injury, put pen to paper on the contract yesterday making him the first capture by the incoming Director of Rugby, Brett Davey.
The current assistant to Lynn Howells at Castle Park, Davey is delighted to have secured the services of the former Rotherham half-back.
“ I am absolutely delighted to secure the signature of Chris Hallam for Doncaster so early,” said Davey. “He is such an experienced player and one who is so well known to me and will give us a head start in preparing for next season. As well as a high level of skill, Chris has shown a matching level of commitment to the Knights’ cause, so his signing will delight the fans as much as it has myself.”
