Doncaster Knights have re-signed Fijian hooker Vili Veikoso.
The 33-year-old made a big impact at Castle Park last season and will return for 2015/16 once his international commitments are concluded.
Veikoso is in Fiji’s extended squad for next month’s 2015 Pacific Nations Cup and could potentially feature for his country at the 2015 World Cup later this year.
He won Doncaster’s ‘Top Gun’ award last season despite arriving halfway through the campaign.
“Vili brought a freshness to us last season,” said director of rugby Clive Griffiths.
“He has an outstanding character off the field and has great ability on it.
“His defence is a real feature of his game, hence winning the Top Gun last season and I’m just delighted to have him back.
“I’ll be very surprised if he isn’t included in Fiji’s final World Cup squad so he will not be with us for the start of the season.
“But Vili will come back a better player for having had that experience, which will only benefit us.”
Veikoso said: “I just want to thank God for this blessing and Doncaster Rugby for re-signing me for another season.
“I love it over here in Donny, its a great rugby club with a good set up, good coaches and lovely supporters.
“I can’t wait to meet up with the boys and enjoy some good rugby again next season.”
