Sheffield Eagles have signed giant USA centre Lelauloto Tagaloa for the new season.
The 26 year old, nicknamed Loto and standing 6ft 3ins, boosts the squad after Tom Armstrong’s move to Leigh.
Coach Mark Aston said: “Loto’s big, strong and fast and he is hungry to play at this level and be the best he can be. I’m thrilled he has agreed to join us.
“”There is still a little bit of work to be done to get him where he needs to be but he’s focused and I can’t wait to get him over here and get him involved.””
The player has been given a two-year deal subject to being granted a UK visa. Tagaloa, who plays for the Hawaii Chiefs in the American league, said: I’m excited to be coming to Sheffield.””
