Coach Mark Aston is ready to recall forward Peter Green and hooker Andrew Henderson who were rested for the Challenge Cup win over London Skolars.
“Workington’s style is always physical, they’ve got some big men who will go at us and try to dominate early,” said Aston.
“It’s the sort of place you need the ‘Sheffield Steel’ in the forwards so there is a potential for Peter and Hendo (Henderson) to play.”
He added: “Some who will be left out might be disappointed but they need to understand that we have got a different challenge this weekend.”
Workington need to restore spirits with a victory at Derwent Park (kick-off 3pm) after going out of the Challenge Cup at Hunslet and slipping towards the relegation places.
Town will have reinforcements under their dual registration agreement with Wigan Warriors which has seen experienced forwards Gil Dudson and ex-Eagles prop Jordan James make the trip up the M6 this season.
Aston said: “We have boys in our team who have been around a time, Mitch Stringer, Michael Knowles, Hendo, Peter Green and Matt Garside.
“We have plenty of people who can handle the physical stuff.”
