Andrew Henderson makes an important stop in his farewell tour when Sheffield Eagles travel to Castleford Tigers.

It will bring back memories for the Scottish international hooker who captained the Tigers when they won promotion to the Super League.

He was also in the Barrow team that created a cup shock winning at Cas in 2010, his last game for the Raiders before joining the Eagles.

“Sunday will be a big day for me a very emotional day,” said Henderson, who retires as a player at the end of the season.

“I had four good seasons at Castleford and I thoroughly enjoyed that time and was very proud to represent that club. I know the fans and they are great.

“I’m really looking forward to going back in what is to be my last season (as a player).

“It’s great in your final year to go back to one of your former clubs and hopefully put in a big performance.”

The Eagles will be massive outsiders in the fifth round Tetley’s Challenge Cup game at the Mend-A-Hose Jungle on Sunday. Cas, coached by Daryl Powell, are second in the Super League.
