SHEFFIELD Eagles will face a Halifax team on high in their next game after the West Yorkshire team won the Northern Rail Cup.

Fax, the beaten finalists last year, outplayed favourites Featherstone Rovers to win 21-12 and take the major Cup for teams outside the Super League.

Eagles travel to the Shay Stadium next Sunday looking for a win that would take them above Halifax into second place in the Championship.

Former Eagles forward Sam Barlow was one of the standout players for Halifax scoring their second try in the game at Bloomfield Road, Blackpool yesterday.
