SHEFFIELD Eagles squeezed their way to a second straight away win with a strong second half performance.
Eagles scored the opening try as hooker Andrew Henderson side-stepped in and Dominic Brambani converted.
But Town dominated the first half and took the lead with two tries in five minutes helped by Eagles errors. Half-back James Coyle went in under the posts and former England international winger Mark Calderwood kicked on a loose ball to collect and touch down for the second. Fullback Brett Carter added both goals.
Town extended the lead with Adam Walne forcing his way over with Carter adding the goal.
Eagles came back with Quentin-Laulu-Togagae coming into the line and sending winger Nev Morrison over wide out.
Brambani couldn’t add the goal and with two minutes to go Calderwood took a high kick from Coyle to crash over with Carter adding the goal to give Town a 24-10 lead at half-time
Carter missed a penalty soon after the restart and the Eagles got the first points of the half with replacement hooker James Davey going over under the posts. Brambani added the goal.
Town’s Andy Morris was injured in a tackled by Yere and was stretchered off.
Eagles kept their revival going with a kick by Brambani setting up the position for Stringer to go over. Brambani added the goal to cut the margin to two points.
Stringer put the Eagles into the lead using his strength to hold off Town tacklers to force his way off with ten minutes to go. Brambani added the goal.
