Operation on ice for Mitch

SHEFFIELD Eagles’ forward Mitch Stringer has put plans for a shoulder operation on hold and has returned to full training.

The Scottish international prop was expected to have keyhole surgery to repair a tear last week.

He said: “The specialist says there’s nothing he can do at the moment. I’ll just carry on training, strengthen the shoulder up and try and get through the season.

“I’m not worried, we’ve got a good physio staff at the Eagles and they are keeping a check on the shoulder.”
