Leaf back to boost Dons
UTILITY back Shaun Leaf is expected to feature in the Dons side in Sunday''s Northern Rail Cup Pool A clash at Swinton.
Leaf has been playing rugby union during the close season and didn't feature in any of the club's warm-up games.
But he has agreed to cut short his 15-a-side commitments to help out the injury-hit Dons.
Swinton coach Paul Smith has both Danny Heaton and Lee Wingfield (hand) available for selection.
Richie Hawkyard is also likely to play despite picking up a minor knock during the Lions' pre-season friendly at Featherstone.
"We've done pre-season, had a couple of friendlies and everyone's looking forward to getting out there," said Smith.
"Doncaster came down a division last year so they've probably got a few players that have played at a higher level.
"There will also be a few new players there that will be trying to impress, so we know we've got a game on our hands."
