Leaders Tavern held to draw by Edlington

PREMIER Division leaders Tavern had to settle for a 2-2 draw at Edlington Royals.

Craig Malloy and Liam Slack netted for Royals.

Second-placed Bullcroft Sports & Pastimes closed to within two points of the leaders after beating Auckley 7-2.

Gary Mundy 2, Chris Harrision, Matthew Findley, Kevin Hayes, Mark Vicarage and Josh Brace netted for Bullcroft.

Adam & Eve climbed into fourth spot with a 2-1 win over Rockingham Hotel, for whom Mark Sydney netted.

Social Bar took over top spot in the Championship in emphatic fashion with a crushing 9-0 win over second bottom Askern Railway.

Bentley AFC dropped down to second spot on goal difference after being held to a 3-3 draw by bottom club Carcroft Village – Gavin Hunter 2, Mark Micklethwaite.

Coronation Club, who have at least three games in hand over the two sides above them, kept in touch with the top with a 4-3 win at Bentley Top Club. Lee Drobac notched a hat-trick for the winners with Lewis Brown also netting.

Rossington Welfare climbed into fourth position after beating Corner Pin (Terry Fields 2, Luke Townsend) 7-3.

Finningley Athletic increased their lead at the top of Division One after their 4-2 win away at second-placed Toll Bar (Squire, Dunhill).

AFC Cusworth handed Sprotbrough Country Club (Paul Farmery) a 3-1 beating in the only other game in the division to survive the wet weather.

Edenthorpe Cougars took over top spot in Division Two in style, beating bottom club Horse & Groom Athletic 11-1.

Craig Dallas and Craig Newsom shared six of the goals with Matthew Whitworth, Matthew Graves and Greg Male also getting in on the act.

Stag Inn (Lee Tilley, Aaron Slater) dropped to second after being held to a 2-2 draw at third-placed Sprotbrough (Chris Pickles, Calum Smith).

AFC Rovers retained their interest in the title race with a 7-4 win over lowly Carpenters Arms.

Rlchmond and Glynn led the way with hat-tricks with Gibbard completing Rovers' tally.

Fox & Hounds escaped from Moorland Open with a 6-5 win thanks to goals by Steve Mason 2, David Buck 2, Kevin Henderson and James Chadwick.
