Kelly keeps Consibrough in top spot

CONISBROUGH continue to set the pace at the top of Doncaster & District Infirmary Evening Cricket League Section A table after beating bottom club Wadworth by eight wickets to claim their fifth win in six games.

Tim Kelly (61 not out) and Jonathan Phillips (31) were the stars of Conisbrough's winning reply of 135-2.

Tom Barrett (62) had earlier been the mainstay of Wadworth's 129 all out. Craig Jackson took 5-37.

Rossington Main climbed above defending champions Doncaster Town, who drop to third, following their four-wicket win over the Town Fields club.

Batting first, Town made 140-7 with Attenborough (30), McGough (28), Townsend (27) and Kundra (26) providing the bulk of the runs.

Rowland (30 not out), Gardner (29) and Harvey (26) led the successful Main reply.

Hooton Pagnell suffered a seven-wicket defeat in a high-scoring game at Thorpe Audlin.

Andy Lunn (90) was the star of the Pagnell knock of 164-3, with Pete Atkinson chipping in with an unbeaten 37.

Vicars (60) and Roughly (44 not out) laid the foundations for the home side's reply of 165-3.

Fenwick handed Thorpe Audlin a six-wicket defeat the following night.

Jeff Morton (3-18) and Dale Carrick (2-37) helped restrict the visitors to 120-7. Jamie McConnocie (39), Morton (22 not out) and Richard Randall (21) saw Fenwick home.

Mid-table Bawtry coasted to a nine-wicket Division Two win over bottom club Brodsworth Main.

Jon Robinson (46) was the pick of the Main batsmen in their 134 all out - Lee taking 3-11.

Youngster Felix Odell, whose 95 featured seven fours and seven sixes, put on 127 for the first wicket with fellow opener Miller (27)

Title-chasing Hatfield Nomads enjoyed mixed fortunes in their back-to-back games.

They beat Yorkshire Main by 13 runs in the first of the two games.

Craig Pattison (31) top-scored in their 99-5 with Mick Gallagher, skipper Paul Davies and Kirk Bennett all weighing in with supporting knocks.

Main struggled to get the better of Chris Stothard (2-13), Jude Hubbard (2-25) and Jimmy Stafford (2-22) and only Danny Briggs (30) and Alan Warren (14) reached double figures in their reply of 86-8.

Nomads suffered a nine-wicket defeat at Sykehouse the following day.

Stothard (32), Wayne Silvester (30) and Jonathan Holmes (21) supplied the bulk of their 125-6.

Pete Sanders (56) and youngster James Davis (42 not out) steered Sykehouse to a match-winning 128-1
