Eagles quartet face old club

FOUR former Doncaster players know they have to add to their former club's problems tomorrow.

Peter Green, Kyle Wood, Michael Haley and Craig Cook line up for Sheffield Eagles in the South Yorkshire derby at Featherstone (3pm).

Green, who spent nearly nine seasons at his hometown club before switching to Eagles a month ago said: "I've got to block everything else out and just get on with the job," said Green. "A top four place is the target and we need the win."

Doncaster have had a torrid season since promotion to the Co-operative Championship, their cash problems finally forcing them into administration.

A string of experienced players have left and a run of poor results has the Dons at the bottom of the table.

Green admits it was a hard to leave Doncaster but says the time was right for him adding: "Everybody at Sheffield has been brilliant with me I couldn't ask for anything more.

Eagles' coach Mark Aston won't hear any talk of 'easy points' from tomorrow's clash and is demanding revenge for an embarrassing 23-22 defeat at Don Valley and to Eagles heading into the play-off places.
