SHEFFIELD Eagles have secured their ‘dream team’ half-back pairing for next season with a new contract for Simon Brown.
Brown will line up with Dominic Brambani, who has rejoined the Eagles from Dewsbury Rams in a new play-maker partnership.
Coach Mark Aston hopes it will be a perfect match bringing together players with impressive kicking games.
“Teams will know that we are not just a one-kicker team,” he said. “We have two good players who both have great kicking games. I’m delighted Simon has committed to the club.
“He’s a good player now and if he buys into the personal development plan we have for him he’ll be one of the top players in this competition.
“I’ve not met too many people – except possibly Dom Brambani – who can kick a ball like Simon.”
Former Leeds Rhinos Academy player Brown joined Eagles from Doncaster in 2010. He has signed a new one-year deal.
The Eagles main goal-kicker he has played 36 games scoring 273 points – all but 12 from the boot. The signing is a timely boost as the squad report for pre-season training this week.
