DONCASTER have confirmed that their attractive Carnegie Challenge Cup fourth round tie against Super League outfit Wakefield Trinity Wildcats will be played at the Keepmoat Stadium on Sunday. May 8.
Doncaster Rovers Belles, who will be playing all their FA Women’s Super League games at the stadium, were scheduled to be entertaining Arsenal that day.
But Belles agreed to bring their game forward 24 hours to accommodate the Dons who are expecting their biggest gate of the season.
The Dons, meanwhile, are still waiting to hear from league leaders Swinton Lions, when their game at Park Lane, due to be played on June 12, will be played.
Dons’ boss Tony Miller, whose side are without a game this weekend, will be checking on the progress of full-back Mick Butterfield (leg) and winger Stu Sanderson (hamstring) at tonight’s’ training session. Both hope to be fit for the trip to Whitehaven on Sunday week.
