Dons add brains to brawn with triple signing

THE Dons side to take on Batley in Sunday's rearranged Championship clash at Featherstone, will boast brains as well as brawn.

Loughborough University pair Steve Hall and Chris McNamara and Leeds Metropolitan University student Mark McKinley, all put pen to paper on contracts prior to last night's training session at Toll Bar.

They join former Loughborough student Mike Coady, and ex-Great Britain students star Shaun Leaf, in the squad for the club's first game since going into administration.

"The three lads are all newcomers to the professional ranks, but I have seen them play and I've also had good reports on them. I am sure that once they get a bit of experience under their belts they will prove useful acquisitions," said head coach Tony Miller.

Miller is still looking to add to his squad after losing eight first-team regulars in recent weeks, but he admits that it is not easy.

"It has been really hard trying to bring players in in recent weeks because of all the uncertainty. Leeds Rhinos are still looking to see if they can loan us a couple of young players but I'm not going to take just anyone."
