We’re all out to avenge big Oldham hiding

Have your say

WE will have to play a lot better than when we went to Oldham a few weeks ago if we are to win Sunday’s Championship One return against them at the Keepmoat Stadium.

Oldham are the only team to give us a real hiding this season so the lads are determined to put on a good display.

Last Sunday we went to Workington Town - a real tough place to get a victory - but we hung in there and came away with the spoils on the last play of the game.

Well done to all concerned; it was a great result.

We are again dedicating Sunday’s game to the memory of former Doncaster soldier Liam Maughan.

I look forward to welcoming Liam’s family - Andrea, Dave and hopefully Callum if he has got back from France in time, and also Liam’s baby boy Jayden - on Sunday.

To the supporters, I would urge them get behind the lads again, as you always do. It really does help.

If you are interested in going on the Wembley trip for the Challenge Cup final on August 27 please see comunity manager Ray Green or his wife Jackie, the club sec retary. The cost is £60, which includes a £41 ticket. You can pay in instalments at the next few games if you like.

Well done to my pal Jamie McDonnell for defending his Commonwealth bantamweight title last weekend. Great stuff champ! Keep up the good work - that world title is getting closer!
