MOORENDS cashed in on their skills on the rugby field at the Keepmoat Stadium on Sunday.

They beat four other local teams in Doncaster Rugby League Club’s touch and pass competition to win the £100 cash prize.

The competition was staged before Sunday’s Championship One clash against Whitehaven.

The five teams played each other once in a league format with games 10-minute games, with the top four progressing to the semi-finals.

Moorends beat Toll Bar one try to nil in their semi-final with Bentley Good Companions accounting for Toll Bar Under-18s four tries to two.

Moorends scored the only try of the game in the final in the competition organised by the Dons Community Department.
