Have your say

WE had another good Championship One win at the weekend - our fourth on the trot - against one of the division’s form teams London Skolars.

Skolars have taken some major scalps recently, beating both our play-off rivals Rochdale and Keighley.

So we knew the game was by no means a formality and we had to work really hard in the first 40 minutes. But once again fitness caught up with them when we came home strong in the last third of the game.

We went into the game with no injuries within the club, which is a real good position to be in at this stage of the year.

However, a couple of the lads picked up knocks and both could be doubtful for the weekend. Second-rower Craig Lawton certainly seemed to have a tough day at the office.

He firstly dislocated a finger then, after getting that put back into place, took a knock to the ribs.

On-loan centre Michael Coady is having trouble with the same shoulder that has kept him out for some time, so we will have to check on that this week in training.

I thought on-loan centre Nev Morrison had a great game, scoring a brace of tries.

I have always said once he gets over, and gets a couple of tries, he will score a lot more because this kid can play.

I also think second-rower Craig Robinson is having a real good season. He is one tough lad who leads from the front.

This weekend end we go to Rochdale in what is a massive game for us.

We really need to be ready because ex-Dons’ coach John Stankevitch has got them playing well and they were unlucky not to knock leaders Swinton over last week, so this will be a cracker. If you can get over to cheer the lads on this will be much appreciated.

Some of our supporters are doing a sponsored walk to the Rochdale game, setting off on Friday, so if you see them on their travels please cheer them on and make a small donation. See you ar the game.
