Tony Miller will be satisfied with a strong performance from the Dons at Halifax on Sunday regardless of the final result.

The Dons are on an excellent run of form having won their last four Championship games.

And Miller expects his side to give heavyweight Halifax a real test at the Shay on Sunday.

“It’s a massive test for us and we’ve definitely have to produce what we have over the last few weeks,” he said.

“The main thing I’m looking for is the performance, regardless of the result.

“We were blitzed in the first half at home to Halifax and the game was over by the time we found our feet.

“We can’t afford to be in that position again and all the signs from us recently suggest that won’t be the case.”

Though a trip to Halifax is never likely to be easy, the Dons could not have wished for the visit to come at a better time.

After winning 12 and drawing one of their first 13 games in the Championship this season, Halifax have slumped and have lost three of their last four games.

Miller said: “They’re not on a great run of form at the minute but you can’t underestimate a side as good as that.

“They’ll be desperate to put in a performance after losing to Barrow last weekend.

“Someone is going to get that backlash from them and it could very well be us this weekend.”

Miller will be without Stewart Sanderson once again on Sunday with the winger currently on a family holiday.

But there are no new fitness concerns for the Dons heading into the weekend.
