Kyle Kesik hopes the Dons can carry their league form into Sunday’s Challenge Cup tie at Super League giants Warrington Wolves.
Dons travel to the Halliwell Jones Stadium as huge underdogs, but also on the back of six wins out of eight in the Championship and a morale-boosting comeback victory at Sheffield Eagles.
“The league is going very well so far this season,” said skipper Kesik.
“It is obviously going to be tough to get a result against a Super League side in the cup.
“Obviously we are going well in the league and everybody is really looking forward to this cup game now.
“We can’t wait for it, but we know it will be tough.
“It was a fantastic comeback against Sheffield, we were delighted with the result,” he added.
“It would be massive to get to a quarter-final, with us being a Championship club, but Warrington are a very good side with a lot of recent success in the Challenge Cup.
“We’ll have to play very well but we will go there and give it a good go.”
