He turned down Super League and Championship interest to remain at the Keepmoat in a deal which is subject to international clearance.

The 29-year-old joins Tom Carr, Sam Doherty, Kyle Kesik and Jordie Hedges in commiting their futures to the Dons over the next two years.

Jack Miller became the club’s third new signing earlier this week as they look to go again in their bid for Championship rugby.

Miller – son of former Dons head coach Tony Miller – arrived from Australian side Queenbeyan Kangaroos and has signed a one-year deal.

The 21-year-old came through the ranks at Huddersfield Giants and is known for his kicking game.

Speaking about the move Miller said: “The aim is to get Doncaster back to where they belong in the Championship and I am here to do that.

“I want to better myself and I know working with Gary Thornton and being at this club that I can do that and I will be happy here.

“I try to control things on the field and get the team around the park, there are a lot of good players at Doncaster, hopefully I can play my part and we can have a good season.

“At Huddersfield I was full time and you learn a lot, especially off players like Danny Brough and in Australia I learnt a lot about myself and have grown up, I feel like I am a better person for it.

“Doncaster has a special place in my heart, it felt right coming here, I am here to do my own thing and play as well as I can the Dons.”
