DONCASTER’S Championship One title hopes received a major boost following last night’s 22-6 victory over Workington Town at the Keepmoat Stadium.
Tony Miller’s side, who remain unbeaten at home this season, leap-frogged the Cumbrians to regain second spot and close the gap on leaders Barrow to just two points with four games to go.
The Dons, who have a much better points difference, need to win all four remaining games, three of which are away, and for Barrow, who have to visit Workington, to lose at least once.
“We defended magnificently but I thought we could have done better with the ball,” admitted Miller.
He added: “Our last-play options were poor at times.”
