WHAT a mammoth effort last weekend to beat Workington Town 26-16 in our Co-operative Championship One clash at the Keepmoat Stadium.
The spirit the boys showed when we were down on troops and having no subs for a very large chunk of the game, was nothing short of sensational.
I would like to congratulate them all along with the whole back-room team for their efforts. Well done to all concerned. Keep it up!
To the boys who got injured hope you aren’t out for too long specially Aaron Dobek, who was having his first game back from a shoulder operation and was taken to hospital with a suspected broken leg.
To the fans thanks for last week. From start to finish you really got behind the lads. With the injury situation you were the 18th man and really contributed to the victory.
More of the same on Sunday against Rochdale, please.
I know you are all proud to be Dons’ supporters, and have not had a lot to shout about over the last couple of years, so hopefully you are all getting some pleasure for sticking with us.
The players and directors really appreciate your contribution when you are on form as you were last week. Keep it up.
As I say, we play Rochdale at home on Sunday so to all the ex Dons’ fans and the Doncaster public, I ask you to please give us another go. I am sure you won’t be disappointed by the quality of the rugby that we are playing.
We need your support. If you ask any of our true long-term fans they will tell you last weekend’s game was one of the best ever witnessed for a long time, so get yourselves down to the Keepmoat on Sunday.
If you buy your ticket during the week from the ticket office it is only £10 (adult) £2 (kids). If you get them on a match day tickets are £12 (adult), £2 (under-16’s). So come on get behind the lads.
