Cup tie romp for Edlington
EDLINGTON Town romped to a 5-0 win at Ackworth United in their Doncaster and District FA Challenge Cup first round tie.
James Connor, Pete Dawson, Craig Sticklen and Aidan Ford all netted with an own goal completing their nap hand.
Gareth Davies notched a hat-trick in Askern Villa's 5-3 win at Hemsworth Alpha B in their second round tie.
Swinton Station posted a 6-3 win at Carcroft Village.
South Elmsall United went down 3-1 at home to Central Midlands Kinsley Boys A.
In the Premier Division, Swinton Station Athletic opened up an eight-point gap at the top after a 5-0 conquest of Sutton Rovers.
A Liam Charlton strike earned Rossington Main a 1-0 success at Kinsley Boys.
Hemsworth Alpha A enjoyed a 6-4 victory at Edlington Rangers.
There was a shock 3-2 defeat for Retford Town at FC Thorne Town.
All the goals came in the first half when Mexborough Pocket visited Doncaster Deaf, Guy Sandland bagging a brace for Pocket, for whom Shaun Marshall also scored, with Gareth Denmead reducing the arrears.
Defences took the honours in a goalless draw between Bawtry Town and Yorkshire Main.
Adwick Park Rangers got back to winning ways in Division One, beating Upton Brookside 5-2.
Strikes from Mark Trowell and Matt Brunyee secured Bramley Sunnyside a 2-0 win at FC Tavern.
A late goal by Joe Fisher earned Woodlands Rhinos a 3-2 victory at Bawtry Town Reserves.
ISG Doncaster beat South Kirkby 2-1 courtesy of goals by Bartosz Prusak and Slawomir Ostrowski.
