All change as Lynn bids to stop the rot

DONCASTER Knights boss Lynn Howells has rung the changes for tomorrow's Championship clash at fellow stragglers travel to Moseley

In addition to having to draft in Bryn Griffiths and Ngalu Tau respectively as replacements for second-rower Glen Kenworthy and prop Tom Davies - who both picked up knee injuries in last Friday's 21-10 defeat at home to Cornish Pirates - Howell also gives a starting debut to recent signing Steven Laurie at hooker.

He also promotes Tongan international Toma Toke from the bench at the expense of Scottish international prop Stuart Coarser.

Determined to stop the rot after three successive defeats, the Welshman also makes four unforced changes to his back division.

James Brooks, who will captain the side in the absence of Kenworthy, moves from fly-half to centre - with Ali Warnock forming a new half-back combination with scrum-half Nicky Wright.

No stranger to wearing the No 12 shirt - he played there during his time at Leeds last season - Brooks will be partnered in the centre by Chris Briers, recalled to the side after being dropped.

Howell drops full-back Roger Davies and springs something of a surprise by handing centre prospect Steve McColl the No 15 shirt.

Knights have never lost to Moseley, though they needed a late try to beat them at their Billesley Common base last season.

The Midlands club ended last season on a high when beating league champions Leeds in the EDF National Trophy final at Twickenham but have not been able build on that success.
