RESULTS: SAT, FEB 6, 2010

CHAMPIONSHIP:

Sheffield Utd 1 Derby 1

UNITED averted a third successive Championship defeat when Lee Williamson hit a 90th minute equaliser. Their injury woes continued, however, when goalkeeper Mark Bunn hobbled-off with a suspected thigh problem.

Nottingham Forest 2 Sheffield Wednesday 1

Wednesday trailed to a controversial penalty and deeserved at least a point for a substantial performance but a second half equaliser by Luke Varney was followed swiftly by a cruel Dexter Blackstock second goal.

Barnsley 1 Watford 0

The Reds deserved their victory thanks to Emil Hallfredsson's third goal of the season, especially having had to cling on for 19 minutes with only ten men. They moved up two places to ninth - their highest this season.

Doncaster Rovers 1 Reading 2

Doncaster have now lost their last four games. Shane Long headed home Reading's opener from inside the six-yard box, in the 39th minute. Brian Howard got their second, in the 77th minute. Rovers pulled one back with a Billy Sharp penalty, after a handball saw Matthew Mills sent off, in the 81st minute.

LEAGUE TWO:

Chesterfield 2 Lincoln 1

Spireites were made to struggle for what should have been a straight forward win. Dominic Green's first goal for the club and Barry Conlon's header gave the hosts a cushion but after Moses Swaibu pulled one back Chesterfield looked vulnerable.

Darlington 2 Rotherham United 0

For the second time Rotherham suffered the embarrassment of losing to the division's bottom side who outran and outfought them with a tigerish display. Curtis Mainand Gareth Waite gave Darlo a deserved win.
