Greyhound auction

Owlerton Greyhound Stadium will be hosting a greyhound auction this Sunday (15 October).

Owlerton’s sales see race-ready greyhounds purchased by members of the public via an auction, having first been trialled at the track.

The greyhounds, which are purchased using Guineas, a traditional currency, will be put through their paces at Owlerton before subsequently being auctioned later in the day. The bar and snack bar will be open at the Stadium to provide food and drink for attendees.

Dave Perry, general manager at Owlerton Stadium, said: “Auctions represent a brilliant opportunity for members of the public to become more involved with the racing industry and the thrills of owning a high-class greyhound.”
