Race goers at Owlerton Stadium are set for two special days of racing in March.

Yorkshire’s leading greyhound stadium is hosting its own Cheltenham Festival of Racing on Thursday March 12. A unique day of racing, the event combines a special greyhound meet followed by horse racing action live from Cheltenham.

The day starts at 10am with a breakfast and greyhound racing begins just after 11am. Following a three-course lunch at 1pm, an afternoon of Cheltenham Festival racing begins shown live on the TVs throughout the stadium.

Tickets for the event, which includes breakfast, three hours of live greyhound racing, a three-course lunch and live racing from Cheltenham, costs £25 per person.

Mother’s Day, March 15 sees more top class open racing with the Queen Mother Memorial Cup - one of the most prestigious events in the racing calendar.

Races begin at 12noon and a special Mother’s Day lunch is also available in the Panorama restaurant with admission, racecard and three-course meal costing £20 per person.
