SAM Young, of Rotherham Golf Club, won the Yorkshire Boys Championship at Hickleton.

Rounds of 72 and 74 for 146 gave him a two shot win over Adam Denton (Bondhay). Silkston GC's Jamie Gibson, sixth overall, won the Under-16 competition with two 75s.

Best gross: Morning round Dominic Moon, 71; afternoon Jamie Harrison, 73.
