Top 10 hope for Adam

SHEFFIELD’S Adam Blythe produced another accomplished display yesterday to keep alive his hope of a top 10 finish at the Tour of Qatar, which finishes today.

Blythe, who is part of leading American team BMC Racing, finished 24th on the 160 kilometres ride from Camel Race Track to Al Khor Corniche - a stage won by world champion Mark Cavendish.

However, the 22-year-old, lost no time on race leader Tom Boonen of Belgium and is in 11th place overall.

Cavendish is expected to go for his third win of the Tour on the 120.5km journey from Sealine Beach Resort to Doha Corniche today.
