JESSICA Ennis’ coach Toni Minichiello says his first snub by athletics’ hierarchy came just hours after the heptathlete had won gold in London.
He said he received a text message at 9.06am the following morning asking him to leave the Olympic Village. When he said he hadn’t packed or had breakfast another text at 11.06am extended the deadline to 6pm.
He said: “I had to be out of the village by 6pm as it turned out. That’s my morning after the greatest night of my athletics life and after Super Saturday.”
