New Tigers signing Taylor Poole will jet back into the UK from Australia this weekend, ready to start life at Owlerton.
Poole, a former Ipswich rider, has had his visa application approved.
He admits he is ‘pumped’ by the prospect of lining up for the Tigers.
He is putting the finishing touches to preparations for the season which starts with the Air Fence Fund Bonanza on March 27.
Said Poole: “I’m pumped for the new season, I really can’t wait to get going!
“I like the look of the Sheffield team.
“In fact I’d say it looks like the best team on paper I have ever been involved with during my short time in the UK.
“I’m looking forward to riding with guys like Simon Stead and Leigh Lanham, you are talking quality riders and great individuals to know.
“And I’m excited about having Sheffield as my home track.
“It’s big and fast and I’m sure we’re going to see some exciting racing around there this year.”
Poole will spend the rest of this week finalising his preparastions, making sure everything is in place for the long journey back to the UK.
“There’s a lot to organise and I’m due to land on Sunday.
“Then it’s all systems go to be back in the bike and get some laps in.”
Sheffield are expecting a big turnout for their legends night, including Reg Wilson and Doug Wyer, at Owlerton tonight. Admission is by £5 donation on the door with money going to the air fence fund.
