DRONFIELD’S Kirsten Emery didn’t know whether to laugh or cry after she narrowly missed out on a medal in the two-woman bobsleigh at the inaugural Winter Youth Olympics in Austria.
Emery, who is the driver along with brakewoman Frances Slater, produced a storming final run of 55.92 seconds to put the Great Britain duo eventually had to settle for fourth.
“To come fourth is never nice because you are missing out on a medal but it’s better than fifth and we’re so happy with our second run,” admitted Emery.
